Blue Lagoon sits between the Emerald Bay community and downtown Laguna Beach, occupying a strip of North Laguna coastline and hillside that captures the scenic beauty of the area at a residential scale that feels genuinely intimate. The neighborhood takes its name from the vivid blue-green color of the ocean visible from its hillside streets — a view that justifies the name on any clear morning and that the North Laguna Marine Protected Area has made increasingly vivid as marine life has recovered.
Properties range from $1.8 million for modest hillside homes to $7 million for larger coastal residences with direct water proximity. Beach access is excellent — most properties are within a 5–10 minute walk to the sand — making Blue Lagoon one of the more genuinely beach-accessible hillside communities in North Laguna. Snorkeling directly off the rocks near Blue Lagoon reveals an underwater world more diverse and abundant than most California coastal sites, thanks to the MPA designation.
